"Hi, I'm Brad Power, and I'm running for Mayor on October 2nd."

My wife, Holly, and I are proud to call this community home.

This place has always been more than just where I live. It is who I am. My roots run deep in Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove. For generations, my family has called this town home and helped shape it into the community we know today. That legacy is a part of me and it fuels my passion to see our town not just hold onto its proud traditions but grow into an even brighter future.

I have had the privilege of serving on council before, and through my professional career I have worked alongside municipalities all across Newfoundland and Labrador. I have seen what is possible when communities come together with vision and determination. Those experiences taught me valuable lessons, and they also gave me a clear sense of where I truly belong: right here, serving the people and the place I love most.

For years, I have been proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with my neighbours as a volunteer, as a leader, and as someone who has never stopped believing in what this town can achieve. Now I am ready to take that commitment further. I am running for mayor because I believe the best days of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove are still ahead of us, and I want to help lead us there.

This is our home. It is our story. It is our future to shape together. And with your support, I will work every single day to make sure it is a future we can all be proud of.

My Priorities

Strong Services, Better Roads

As Mayor, I’ll make sure the basics are done right — safe roads, reliable services, and strong emergency support — so our town keeps pace with today’s needs without adding unnecessary costs.

Protecting Our Coastline and Green Spaces

Our beaches, trails, and natural beauty make Logy Bay–Middle Cove–Outer Cove unique. I’ll work to protect these special places while finding the right balance with responsible development.

Recreation and Heritage for All Ages

I’ll expand opportunities for recreation and culture — from sports and trails to community events — while celebrating our history and traditions so every generation feels connected to this place.

Responsible Spending, Open Government

Every tax dollar matters. I’ll bring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and clear communication to Town Hall so residents know exactly where their money is going.

Homes for Our Future and Our Seniors

Our community needs housing options that work for everyone — young families, seniors, and those looking to call our town home. I’ll champion thoughtful development that supports growth while keeping the rural character we all love.

Stronger Together — Locally and Regionally

Our town can’t do everything alone. I’ll build stronger partnerships with our neighbours and with the province to get the support and funding we need for infrastructure, housing and community development.
